The Office of Matthew E. Rives is a private foundation named and solely funded by a man who also serves as our namesake. The mission of The Office of Matthew E. Rives is to provide financial support to organizations and individuals who fall into one of several categories including conservation, education, and the arts.

Conservation

The Office of Matthew E. Rives considers organizations whose main focus relates to conservation efforts through museums, zoos, botanical gardens, and community beautification efforts.

Education

The Office of Matthew E. Rives considers institutions of education to include universities, libraries, research labs, and general education efforts.

The Arts

The Office of Matthew E. Rives recognizes that many types of art differ from each other. In this context we consider the arts to refer to the performing and musical arts such as ballet, theatre, opera, and symphonic media.

Our grant opportunities are available to non-profit organization by invitation. Our scholarship fund is open to those who meet the requirements and applications are reviewed throughout the year.
